The Spanish Reading Comprehension Test developed by CASAS is an excellent Spanish language assessment that many programs rely on to identify the reading abilities of native Spanish speakers. The test is widely used to evaluate the Spanish language proficiency of students in programs that teach Spanish to speakers of English and other languages. There are two forms of this assessment.

There are two forms of this test. They may be used as an appraisal (placement) test or as progress tests.
The difficulty level ranges from three to nine years of education in most Spanish-speaking countries.

Students have up to 50 minutes to complete their test.
